Adeona’s Goals

Throughout the centre’s we aim to provide for:

Children

  • to feel valued, trusted and confident
  • to develop autonomy, interdependence, resilience and sense of agency
  • to have a sense of belonging and achievement

Learning

  • by developing a sense of identity through positive experiences and interactions with peers, families, educators and the community, whilst in an emotionally supported environment
  • by encouraging children to be socially competent, respectful of diversity and actively contributing to the community
  • by encouraging children to take responsibility for their holistic health and wellbeing
  • by promoting and developing children’s dispositions for lifelong learning through play, open ended exploration and intentional teaching
  • by encouraging children to effectively communicate by using a number of different means and mediums

Family

  • by including family’s cultural values and beliefs into the curriculum
  • by incorporating families, skills, knowledge, interests and special events
  • by collaborating with families to achieve optimal outcomes for our children
  • by recognising and respecting that families are a core influence on our children’s lives

The Community

  • by incorporating community events and celebrations into the curriculum to help children understand that they can belong to many communities

  • by promoting fairness and socially responsible practices

The Centre

  • through the recognition of the interests and strengths of all children, families and educators
