At Adeona we see children as explorers who are learning to communicate and process the world around them. This is why we place great value on “Child’s Play” because it is through play that children explore, investigate, imitate and discover their world.

When children play, it touches on all six areas of child development.

At Adeona we encourage children to engage, play, think and communicate in many ways.

Our philosophy

We believe that as educators, it’s our responsibility to respect and appreciate children because we are important facilitators in scaffolding each child’s exploration of knowledge.  Each day we strive to provide an environment that allows each child to grow, explore and develop in a loving, supportive, safe, fun and nurturing environment.  In doing this, we ultimately promote positive self-esteem, confidence and develop a sense of curiosity which will better equip children in the future.

Our Centre programs are characterised by a spirit of warmth, encouragement and respect of others.  The learning experiences incorporated throughout the daily programs are designed to reflect this through planning for the individual child and both small and whole group experiences. Through our programs we aim to provide an appealing learning environment that allows for children to explore and learn intellectual, social, emotional, physical, language and creative skills.

Adeona’s educational programs also promote anti-bias attitudes, enabling all children and families to interact together in a positive environment, as well as being flexible in catering for each family on an individual base. We recognise that the family unit is the most important part of a child’s life as well as the primary source of information about the child. Our aim is to develop strong partnerships between each child’s family and the Centre, as this is essential in providing effective care.

At Adeona it is our belief that the wider community plays a role in the development and experiences that occur for our children and our families at the centre. Adeona develop programs that reflect the trends, cultures and values of communities that it exists in. The centre also promotes and aims to aid families to access a variety of community resources.

At Adeona, it is our philosophy to promote the courtesy system.  1 “The aim of the Courtesy System is to provide a framework for a ‘Happiness-Centred Childcare”: an environment where the Adeona team gain increased (happiness by learning to receive pleasure from serving clients and fellow team members).

We want our front line people to nurture and care for our customers, we must first create a warm, nurturing and caring atmosphere in the Adeona Team.
