Adeona Mackay Testimonials

'Since moving to Mackay from interstate at the end of last year, we have had our 2 year old son at Adeona.  We have been impressed by the high quality of the centre. Our son has thrived in the care of the committed staff and when he comes home it’s obvious he’s had a fun filled day.
We highly recommend Adeona to anyone interested in placing their child in an engaging, safe and loving environment.'

'I’ve always been a mum who was adamant that Family Day Care was the best  type of care for my children and after having a bad day care centre experience a few years back, I was determined that nothing was going to change my mind.  I loved the home-y feeling of family day care and how the day care mum felt more like family than just the person who cared for my child.

When arriving in Mackay, you can imagine my disappointment when I was unable to find a daycare mum. Finally, I enrolled my child into Adeona as I had heard they had a good reputation. I was very hesitant and apprehensive about sending my child to a day care centre so we went in for a ‘play day’.
From first entering the door, my child and I felt nothing but positive vibes (as lame and tacky as it sounds!). We were greeted by everyone and all the ladies made an effort to meet my child. He had an absolute blast and was quite upset when we had to leave!
He started full time the following week and we haven’t looked back.

Adeona has been a wonderful centre for my child. I could not be happier with the set up, the staff and the programming. Being a teacher myself, I am quite big on the early learning development side of things. At the end of the day, the white board is presented with photos and information from what they have done that day. It is nice to be able to read over what my child has experienced that day.

Having food provided is an amazingly convenient service which I can not praise enough! It makes life so much easier for a working mum. My child has allergies as well  and I was amazed at how they accommodated for this ensuring that other meals were prepared for him.
And as for the staff… they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Each one greets you with a smile and “hello”. I love how the staffing is worked in the way that there are always at least 4 staff members in the room with the children. This enables small group activities and assures me that my child is not just “one of the crowd”. Other day care centres I have seen have 20 odd children with only 2 adults!

We’ve been at Adeona for nearly a term now and I cannot imagine sending my child anywhere else. He is settled, he’s happy and the staff are wonderful. We don’t feel like a number; everyone knows our names, says hello, will stop and have a chat and makes a genuine effort to make you feel welcome. Yes, it’s a day care centre, it’s bigger than family day care; but it has that home-y feel, you feel a part of the family and most importantly, my child is extremely happy.
I cannot recommend Adeona enough to other parents.'
