Dear Families,

We are aware that there is a feeling of uncertainty in the community regarding COVID-19 and the appropriate actions in response to the pandemic.

Adeona is taking its responsibility in maintaining our communities health and wellbeing extremely seriously, enacting such measures as daily temperature readings of all persons entering the centre, limiting the number of visitors to the service and increased hygiene and cleaning measures.

Adeona is following the advice of the Australian Government, the Queensland Education Department and the Queensland Health Department. We intend to continue normal operations and sessions of care unless expressly ordered otherwise by any of the above mentioned Government Departments. The Department of Education-Office of Early Childhood Education and Care is working with all early childhood services to ensure they can continue to operate under these challenging circumstances.

Adeona is relying on families to keep sick children away from the service and to follow Government recommendations regarding travel/exposure and self-isolation. While we are doing everything in our power to minimise potential exposure to COVID-19, even if it should occur, we have learnt from other early childhood services experiences, that closures could be as little as a day for cleaning.

Adeona will not charge fees for any days that we are closed as a result of a Government directive.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented event. Adeona will keep families informed of all new developments, but please do not hesitate to speak to your Centre Director if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards,

Adeona Management
